Majorca is a classic destination for UK holiday makers for three reasons. Firstly, it offers a nightlife that is nearly as famous as Ibiza but available at much lower cost. Secondly, it offers some great beaches and tourist shopping and sightseeing hotspots all very close to each other so you can enjoy a complete holiday without having to worry too much about getting around. Finally, it’s only a few hours flight away from the UK, making Majorca holidays some of the quickest, easiest and best ways to get a quick slice of paradise.

So what makes Majorca holidays different from any other Spanish island? The weather is quite similar to every other island and the beaches are all equally beautiful, but Majorca holidays stand out for both price and quality. Shopping on the island is excellent and even if you’re travelling on a budget, even a bit of window shopping should be experienced and you can certainly find the occasional deal amongst the people selling high priced trinkets to tourists.

The Spanish hypermarkets are normally a good place to find a deal but they open very early and tend to shut before the afternoon siesta, so you’ll need to be up early to catch this part of Majorca holidays – so don’t drink too much the night before!

On the beach there a huge amount of water sports available and those eager to try out scuba diving and snorkelling will be happy to find that there are spots available for both beginner and advanced divers on almost all of the beaches on the island. The beaches in Majorca can be crowded during July and August but with the weather nearly as warm in June and far less people around, booking the first week of June can net you not only a great deal but a half empty beach as well.
