Although families and even older couples do visit certain resorts on holidays in Ibiza, it’s well known that most people visit the island to do one thing and one thing only: party. For over 50 years the island has steadily been gaining a reputation as the best place to party in the world and people come from all across Europe to enjoy some of the biggest and best clubs available with the hottest music, the best DJs and biggest crowds.

Accommodation and flights are now cheaper than ever before and despite a worldwide recession there’s no sign of the party slowing down on the island. If you’re holidays in Ibiza are going to be the highlight of your year, you might be starting to think about just what clubs you’re going to visit during your stay. We’ve all heard of international award winning clubs like Space and hugely popular and long running venues like Pacha, but what else does the island offer?

Privilege might not share quite the same reputation as Space and Pacha, but it still makes for an amazing night out. The venue was initially open air until it was roofed in 1990 which should give you an idea of the size of the place. Music depends on the promoter and the night you go, but as Tiesto continues a weekly residency the order of the summer is trance and house, with techno events throughout the week.

Es Paradise is another club to watch out for, situated along the waterfront in San Antonio. The club is the second oldest on the island and it’s interior is vastly different to just about anything else you’ll see on the island – all white, ornate and rather ‘posh’ looking compared to the futuristic and hi-tech design of many of the other clubs. The club also plays a wider variety of music even has a water party, so it’s great if you’re looking for people taking holidays in Ibiza looking for something a bit different.
