The Easter vacation makes a great excuse for getting away on cheap Easter holidays. Firstly, many big companies just happen to be handing out their bonuses around this time, making a holiday a good option financially. Secondly, all of the short haul holiday spots are just starting to heat up so you can find a great beach holiday without having to spend hours on a long haul trip. Finally, and most important for families, the kids get a whole 2 weeks off school, making it easy to plan a holiday without worrying about their education.
Finding cheap Easter holidays and short breaks can sometimes be difficult because although Easter is a great time to go on holiday, it’s also the only time many families can get away, so there’s a huge rush. This means busier resorts and beaches, but also means fuller hotels and airplanes, so you’ll find that prices can rise quite high as families make the most of what little time they have when school is out.
The best way to avoid the high prices over Easter and guarantee cheap Easter holidays for your family is to ignore last minute deals – these might work great at some parts of the year and for people who can get away whenever they like, but it can be much harder to find a decent deal during Easter. In fact, doing the exact opposite and booking early could very well be the best idea – you’ll get your choice of resort and don’t have to worry about the risk of not finding a good deal before your two weeks are up!
If you want to make your money stretch further, you should consider either getting an all inclusive deal in the Eurozone and sticking close to your resort, or alternatively spend more on a slightly longer flight to take you out the Eurozone where your money will last longer for things like food, drink and entertainment – the main holiday expenses!
