Families require certain needs when they book holidays. There has to be something for every member of the family, from parents to teens, to young children. This has a direct impact on the destination that a family will choose to vacation. Resorts that offer children’s activities or kid’s clubs will give young children fun activities to do while parents relax on the beach, or engage in their own activities. Some resorts include free meals or free accommodation for children as well.
Couples seeking to get married at an exotic or tropical destination will want to book holidays at a resort that provides wedding services and packages. Free upgrades, free nights, and bonus gifts may also be given to newlyweds.
Sometimes groups of friends wish to travel to a destination in a group. Many companies offer group rates which are lower than individual rates. For so many seats booked, the group may receive a free seat in which the group leader can take advantage of, or this amount can be used to reduce the total price for all members of the group.
There are resorts that cater to single travellers or to couples only. These resorts do not allow children or young adults to stay there. The activities and events are geared towards adults only. This most appeals to those travellers who want either quiet or don’t want to worry about children underfoot.
Different destinations offer a choice of all-inclusive or basic accommodations as well. All-inclusive resorts include flights, accommodation, food, beverages, and activities. Basic accommodations include just the room. Dining and drinks are at the traveller’s expense, as are any activities and events. This may be preferable to those who don’t want to be restricted to just one resort. They may want to explore different restaurants and attractions.
