The Acropolis and its associated museums – including the cities National Archaeological Museum – are a great visit, although they are less ‘child friendly’ than the hands on museums you’ll find in other European and American cities.

Greece holidays are best booked around the start of the summer months when the weather is warm and the crowds haven’t quite arrived. You can continue to enjoy beach holidays until the end of September when the weather gets cooler. At this point, sightseeing holidays and walking / hiking treks around the islands become more popular, so there’s never really a time when Greece isn’t a destination to consider.
